I am surprised that I am still surprised by winter bookings! We have had a flurry of November and December bookings recently and it’s been lovely to chat to guests about what draws them to our remote wee corner of Scotland at this time of year.
We have continued to do gin tours at the distillery as demand is still high and are hearing similar things from visitors here. People love the solitude and peace of rural Kintyre in winter and enjoy the (even!) slower pace of life. The light is incredible at this time of year and we get the most spectacular skies, morning and night.
We are no stranger to the sunrises here on the east but at this time of year we are often blessed with a glimpse of the sunset on the west side. Clouds glow pink and sometimes it looks as though the isle of Arran is on fire!
With log burning stoves in three of our four properties, and two with log burning hot tubs, where better to spend a cosy winter break?
