Trip to Skipness Castle at the weekend. Map of the old Village of Torrisdale
This old map in the Castle shows the village that once stood in the field by Glen House. Dated 1808 the map shows many buildings spreading up the glen as well as the Red Herring House and Salmon fishing in Torrisdale Bay.
Another timorous beastie
It was obviously a good evening for hedgehogs to be out and about, on an evening walk we saw an adult on the way to Torrisdale Bay and this tiny little fella on the way back. He looked very happy ambling along on his own.
